L’Aigle d’Or is found just outside the town centre. The restaurant is a five minute walk from the château of Azay le Rideau which is 25km from Tours, and 20km from Chinon. The restaurant is in a 19th century building which has a long history of hospitality. It was previously an inn then became a successful restaurant run by Jean Luc et Ghislaine Fevre for 33 years. At the end of 2019 Simon Desiles and Eleanor Thomas took over running the restaurant and the next chapter in the history of l’Aigle d’Or began.
